Last evening I hosted two listening parties, one on Bandcamp and one on YouTube, as my album rolled out. Now that the initial rolling is in the past, the album simply exists, available for you to experience in whichever way you prefer. This link will take you to Spotify, Bandcamp, Tidal, Apple, etc. I will note that today only, Bandcamp is donating all its fees to Los Angeles fire relief.
Time for me to take a step back, take a deep breath, and put together a few little promos in hopes of finding a few listeners who wouldn’t know it exists otherwise. Also there’s a ton of other great music that came out today, including new tracks from friends Will Fox and Kali Kazoo, that I also want to get listening to.
I hope you find something here you like!
(Put this on Bandcamp first, but it chafes me to not be able to format a little.)
I'm really enjoying AFTER THE PULSE. My favorite track so far is Weird Little Hill, followed closely by ProblySkate. Both my daughters agree with me that the chorus line for Weird Little Hill is a -good- earworm. I find my self thinking, humming or singing snatches of the song during the day. :-)
My oldest (mid teen) daughter and I have done a pretty detailed review of the Probly Skate lyrics. She has strong suspicions that the song is autobiographical in nature.
Says there are just too many details for it to have been made up or to be about a "friend". :-D
I tend to agree, especially the lines "Now your flat on your back, well how about that. How long have you been lying down?" I've had a similar experience: walked into a ladder firmly tied on top of a camper and came to on the ground an unknown amount of time later. First thoughts when I came around was "Why am I laying on the ground in the front yard? How long have I been here?"
